I don’t understand it, service businesses are built on two things: quality of work and communication. However, without clear and consistent communication it doesn’t matter how good your work is.
I get it, running or even working in an agency is tough, something is always wrong, your to-do list is always long, but is that really an excuse?
I’m not here to say that we’re perfect, we’re not. Things go wrong, projects are delayed, and sometimes the results aren’t what we anticipated. But that can’t be an excuse for wasting people’s time.
Lately we’ve been apart of a lot of teams, historically I’ve done a lot of training as well, seen how other marketers operate and their standards of work. Something that I’ve always been proud of is our ability to respect and understand that people’s time is valuable.
We always make sure to…
Communicate with purpose
We Prevent surprises
Communicate issues well in advance, anticipate what could go wrong and prepare for it, ensuring that issues are immediately communicated when they come up.
We’ll focus on what matters, when it matters
We ensure that we only communicate when needed, we’re not going to be reaching out to you daily, and going by week by week. We make a conscious effort to communicate once and do it right. Clear meetings, swift approvals, then that’s it, eliminating back and forth and making sure you do what you’re best at, running your business.
We won’t nag
Clients pay us to take it off their hands; they don’t have to worry or even put much thought into what we are now doing. That can’t happen if we’re constantly on meetings and going back and forth.
What it boils down to is respect
My staff and I hold immense care and appreciation for our clients, we ensure that we treat your dollars as our own, and as a business owner I know how hard people work to accumulate funds to invest into marketing and growth.
We’re a fast moving team, but make sure that our clients are always our priority, but also understand what’s next, what’s working and what’s not. Even though we’re month to month, we understand our client’s goals at least 12 months from now, and make sure they understand where we are on that journey.
